G-Yachts is expanding and we are happy to welcome Xavier Tessier. He will also attend the Winter aviation summit to be held at the Hôtel des trois Couronnes, Vevey in Switzerland. Discover our new Yacht Broker in a few lines:
Xavier Tessier - Yacht broker
-In three words, how would you describe your role within G-Yachts?
I'm a yacht broker. I arrived very recently, in February 2020. I am originally from Paris, but I immediately liked the region. From my office, I have a view of the sea and the yachts. What better hope?
I have a master's degree in international business. I was hired by G-Yachts to develop the Charter pole: boat rental. I will also take care of the sales part afterwards, with one of my colleagues.
-What makes you get up in the morning?
Working in the Yachting industry is a real passion for me. Customers quickly become friends. We rent them a vacation. My job allows me to combine business and leisure. It’s a real pleasure.
Summer hours are counted so as not to miss any deal. This is the rule of the game. The more responsive you are, the more the client can potentially rent a boat. I love taking on this challenge.
-What is your added value?
I am dynamic. Beyond the missions intrinsically linked to my position, I also give a lot of help to my clients. For example, I can book them a nice table in a restaurant, rent them a villa, or even advise them on the purchase of a car in France. I go out of my way to make my client satisfied. When the latter said to me, "I loved my stay. See you next year ". I got my job done. It's really about knowing how to create a special relationship with the client, a bond of trust, because the world of yachting is a small environment.
-What place at sea would you recommend to your customers?
I really like the North of Sardinia and the South of Corsica. I also find it a shame that most customers do not go to find out what is after St-Tropez. There is the island of Porquerolles, Cassis, the Levant Islands and all the surrounding wonders. I should also mention Italy too, the five-lands in particular. In Naples, a marina opened five years ago. Brokers have been invited to discover the various infrastructures; restaurants in particular. I obviously recommend the Amalfi Coast too.
