To reach the Maddalena Islands by boat, there are several convenient departure points along the Italian and Corsican coasts. From Genoa, it’s about 120 nautical miles, taking approximately 12 to 14 hours of sailing along the stunning Ligurian coast and past Corsica. Departing from Livorno, located a bit further south, the distance is around 100 nautical miles, with a sailing time of about 10 to 12 hours, offering beautiful views of the Tuscan coastline and the Tyrrhenian Sea. From Bonifacio in southern Corsica, the Maddalena Islands are just about 10 nautical miles away, making it a short 1 to 1.5-hour sail across crystal-clear waters. Each of these routes provides scenic Mediterranean vistas, making the journey to the Maddalena Islands a truly memorable experience.
