BOLD LEADS MASTERCARD MOTOR YACHT CHALLENGE YACHT ENTRIES

The 85 metre Silver Yachts-built superyacht BOLD is leading the yacht entries to the Mastercard Motor Yacht Challenge.

The 37 metre Monte Fino superyacht Masteka II and 34 metre Westport yacht INTEGRITY have also entered the challenge, which will take place as part of the Mastercard Superyacht Regatta from February 25-27.

Open to yachts measuring over 24 metres, the New Zealand-based challenge will take place across six stages. These will include sprint races and on land activities in locations such as Kawau Island, Man O’ War Bay and Islington Bay on Rangitoto Island. Yachts will be scored on a low point scoring system, meaning the overall winner will have the lowest score total. Yachts will be given a new task at each destination, which will be delegated to someone on board to complete.

The event will begin with a captain’s briefing at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron on February 25 and conclude with a prize giving on February 27.
