Scintilla Maris is a 45.6-meter explorer and conversion motor yacht, originally built by Damen Maaskant Shipyards in the Netherlands and delivered in 1988. She underwent a major transformation, combining robust Dutch engineering with a modernized, expedition-ready style. With a beam of 9.0 meters, a draft of 5.1 meters, and a volume of 499 GT, she offers serious seakeeping ability and long-range cruising capability. Designed and engineered by Damen Maaskant Shipyards, her interior was reimagined by Vripack to balance comfort with adventure. Scintilla Maris accommodates up to 12 guests across generous living areas, while her crew of 7, including the captain, ensures smooth operations on board. Built with a full steel hull and a steel-aluminium superstructure, she is powered by three Volvo Penta engines, allowing a cruising speed of 9 knots and a top speed of 12 knots. Her impressive transoceanic range of 9,000 nautical miles at cruising speed makes her ideal for global exploration. Ranked 1,920th among the world’s largest yachts and the largest yacht ever built by Damen Maaskant Shipyards, Scintilla Maris is a rare offering in the explorer market. She was last refitted in 2025 and is currently for sale at €18,950,000.
