Southern Cross is a 45-meter motor yacht originally built by Niigata Shipyard in Japan and delivered in 1996. With a beam of 7.37 meters, a draft of 3.2 meters, and a volume of 337 GT, she is a robust and capable explorer yacht, purpose-built for long-range adventures. Formerly known as Immortalis and Koshiji Maru, Southern Cross features exterior styling by Periscope Naval Architects, an interior by Ashley Sutton Design, and naval architecture by the shipyard itself. She accommodates up to 12 guests and includes quarters for her crew, including the captain. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she is powered by twin engines from Niigata Power Systems, offering a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 14 knots. With fuel capacity of 74,250 liters and fresh water storage of 10,000 liters, she is well-suited for transoceanic travel. Ranked as the 1,971st-largest yacht in the world and the second-largest built by Niigata Shipyard, Southern Cross underwent her most recent refit in 2021 in Indonesia. She is now available for sale at €2,320,584.
