Surama is a 40.7-meter sailing yacht built by the esteemed Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman and delivered in 1997. With a generous beam of 8.8 meters, a deep draft of 6.8 meters, and a volume of 217 GT, she is a true bluewater cruiser built for performance and comfort. Her exterior design is the work of Fontaine Design Group, while the refined interior was created by Winch Design. Naval architecture was handled by Ted Hood. Surama can host up to 8 guests in elegant cabins, along with 6 crew members including the captain. Constructed with an aluminium hull and superstructure, she is powered by two MTU engines that enable a cruising speed of 11.0 knots and a top speed of 12.5 knots.
