G-YACHTS WELCOMES SARA DEGOLA

G-Yachts is expanding and we are glad to welcome Sara Degola. Discover Sara in a few lines, she will also attend the Winter aviation summit on March 12, which will be held at the Hôtel des Trois Couronnes, Vevey in Switzerland

Sara Degola- Sales manager

What is your background ?
I'm from the aviation community. Before joining G-Yachts, I worked in aircraft sales. The target clientele is  the same as that linked to yachts.
I joined G-Yachts in January 2020 and I am delighted! I’m Sales Manager. My job is to find new customers and new boats for sale.

Your favorite moment in your work?

I love to visit the boats. I meet a great clientele, people who are intellectually interesting. There is a real notion of pleasure in what I do every day. I’m not stuck behind my desk ... I love the sea and people.
I also like the idea of being able to manage my time as I see fit. There is the notion of flexibility in everyday life that appeals to me a lot, but I am also part of a well-organized and structured society. It’s a great chance. At G-Yachts, I feel like I am a family as the size of the company is at human scale. We can see each other extremely often and interact optimally.

If you were to appoint a mentor, who would it be?

Without hesitation, this is Patrizio Bertelli, the boss of Prada, for whom I worked in Italy. He is daring and visionary; it’s always one step ahead of its competitors. This man taught me a lot professionally, and in particular how to manage customer relations as well as possible, as well as tame stress properly.

There is a second mentor who struck me: Jahid Fazal-Karim, CEO of Jetcraft, the world leader in business aircraft sales and acquisitions. He is an smart and sensitive man. He is capable of developing business like no other and is a self-taught man.

Your favorite place to drink coffee in Monaco?

I love going to Coya's house. There is a breathtaking view of Monaco and it is a very warm place. The setting and decoration are perfect.
Is there a dream that you had often and that you would like to carry out?

Rather than talking about a dream, I have a real regret. I was a champion of artistic gymnastics and I had to give up this passion when I moved to Milan, when I was working in fashion.

The last time you laughed to tears?

I recently organized the birthday of my grandmother, who was celebrating her 90th birthday.
I gathered 50 people and it was a moment when I cried for happiness. If there was one person I should pay tribute to, it would be my grandmother. It was she who gave me all the motivation I have for my job.

Do you have a quote that you particularly like?

"If your dreams don’t scare you, they are not big enough". I also have a tattoo called "dream".
