IN PICTURES: 24m SUNREEF 80 ECO CATAMARAN

Sunreef Yachts has revealed the first pictures of the solar-electric Sunreef 80 Eco in Dubai under navigation. The 23.87-metre luxury catamaran is a fully-autonomous craft that uses revolutionary green technology for fuel-free cruising in total silence and comfort.

The Sunreef 80 Eco employs a solar power system that features ultralight composite integrated solar panels within the sides of the hull, mast, superstructure and bimini roof. She uses the latest green technology in the industry to make her a reliable yet eco-friendly yacht and a pioneer in green yachting.

She is equipped with advanced electric engines and a hydro-generation system to provide the smoothest e-motoring experience, while generating energy under sail. The Sunreef 80 Eco is fitted with a smart energy management system, along with custom-engineered batteries and an innovative air conditioning system. These systems are able to provide top top energy efficiency for a sustainable cruising experience.

The energy obtained from this system will be used to power both the yacht herself and the house appliances. The system will be able to generate over 15 kilowatts per hour while cruising above 7 knots.

The Sunreef 80 Eco has been designed with a contemporary decor and custom four stateroom layout. There is a huge emphasis on sport and entertainment throughout to create a unique and well-balanced catamaran.
