INNOVATION IS AN ART: MEET THE UNIQUE 42.5M TRIMARAN ADASTRA

When McConaghy Boats launched this $20 million trimaran for the shipping magnate Antony Marden, he never thought it would become one of the multiple awards-winning vessels.

What makes it undeniably the most unique yacht and one of the most innovative vessels on the waters is its exterior design penned by the well-known British studio Shuttleworth Design.

The challenge for John Shuttlewort was to conceive a weight-reduced trimaran able to meet exceptional performances that would enable hydrodynamic efficiency, stability, as well as low fuel consumption, and environmental impact.

To do so, he chose to build this vessel entirely in carbon fiber which gives this futuristic and unique look to the trimaran.

Talking about performances, ADASTRA is powered by a single 1,150 hp Caterpillar C18 engine, which allows her to reach 17 knots cruising speed topping out at 23 knots.

Currently for sale, she provides an “amazing seaworthiness” and is one of a kind.
