OCEANCO REVEALS 80M SIMPLY CUSTOM SUPERYACHT CARINAE BY PASCOLI INTERNATIONAL

Oceanco's latest 80-metre Simply Custom superyacht to be revealed is Carinae, designed by Pascoli International.

Displaying a strong profile, the yacht’s name derives from the title of a constellation that was once part of a larger constellation called "Argo Navis." In Greek mythology, Argo was a ship crafted with the help of the gods to retrieve the golden fleece, and Carinae represents its hull.

Kristian Pascoli commented on the superyacht’s design, “Perhaps the most striking feature of Carinae is in fact the hull, which is dominant. We wanted to shy away from the typical deck stacking and styling exercise, therefore we decided to include the main deck in the hull. As a result, the stern is quite impressive, reminiscent of galleon designs of past eras.”

Oceanco’s Simply Custom technical foundation incorporates an all-electrical propulsion and energy architecture system, designed to ensure each yacht has the correct foundations to deliver high levels of operational capability. Typically the Simply Custom Collection yachts display an owner’s suite and six guest staterooms. Reflecting on Carinae’s exterior, Kristian Pascoli stated, “Further inspiration was drawn from the design of 1930s liners for the deckhouse and funnels. Finally, the Oceanco Simply Custom technical foundation fits the design well, providing a lot of flexibility as far as in/out arrangement and living spaces.”
