THE TOUCH STUDIO UNVEILS 80M OCEANCO SIMPLY CUSTOM SUPERYACHT DUNES

Oceanco has unveiled the latest addition to its Simply Custom series, the 80-metre Dunes superyacht concept by the Touch Studio. The yacht is one of 17 from the fully custom series which sees world-renowned designers build upon Oceanco’s technical foundation, with their own designs.

“Dunes draws its inspiration from a hidden gem: the Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses in Brazil,” explained designers Veronica Vergari and Timothy Badacci of the Touch Studio. “In this haven, the interplay of sand and water gives rise to an exceptional natural landscape, crafted by the wind’s relentless artistry.”

The Simply Custom Collection was first announced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2023 and has been engineered to provide designers with a canvas to help create a bespoke Oceanco yacht. With over a dozen yachts in the portfolio, The Collection partners with some of the brightest creative talents in the yachting industry and can be tailored to suit any owner’s particular needs.

“The yacht’s design harmonises the sleek and precise lines of the water’s surface with the sinuous contours of the sand dunes. These curvatures, where the wind has etched its distinctive shapes, find their expression in the yacht’s form, embodying the enchanting force of nature,” added the Touch Studio.

The Simply Custom yachts feature a highly optimised and efficient hull design by Lateral Naval Architects, with all electric propulsion and energy architecture systems, incorporated into a DC grid system and onboard battery energy storage.

In terms of accommodation, the Simply Custom Collection yachts are typically configured with an owner’s stateroom on the upper deck and six guest suites on the main deck, all of which reach Red Ensign Group’s Large Yacht Code Part A regulatory compliance requirements.

“One of the standout features of Dunes are its aft terraces, with the option to have an entirely openable beach area that is connected directly to the sea, and with maximum flexibility in circulation. Dunes becomes one with the marine environment, and everyone onboard will feel this dual sense of freedom and connection,” commented the Touch Studio.
