THIS TRAVELING F.P. JOURNE EXHIBITION IS A MUST-SEE FOR WATCH COLLECTORS

The show, which starts in Miami and will make its way to N.Y.C., features 60 rare and collectible watches from the independent watchmaker.

The 1916 Company just gave you the perfect reason to jet off to Miami for the weekend. Opening Thursday, February 29 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami is the unveiling of an exciting traveling exhibition showcasing more than 60 rare and collectible watches from F.P. Journe.

Generations: A Timeline of F.P. Journe will make its debut in Miami at the Four Seasons before moving to The 1916 Company’s Collector’s Lounge in the Miami Design District March 1 and 2. From there, the exhibition will travel coast to coast before landing in New York City later this spring. Once it’s in the Big Apple, 1916 will inaugurate The 1916 Journe Gallery, featuring a perpetual collection of F.P. Journe timepieces.

“François-Paul Journe is one of the most talented and inventive watchmakers, constantly addressing the push and pull between perfecting a historical craft and looking to the future,” shares Danny Govberg, co-founder of The 1916 Company. “We look forward to coming together to celebrate the complexities and beauty with this event and with our upcoming ‘perpetual’ collection. Journe continues to create, and we continue to discover his masterpieces. As such, The 1916 Journe Gallery will be established in our New York lounges—an ever-evolving collection destined to reach new wrists.”

Highlights from Generations: A Timeline of F.P. Journe include the supremely important Tourbillon Souverain ‘Souscription’ Series No.13/20, a ‘pre-souscription’ Chronomètre à Résonance, a complete Ruthenium set, and several unique and distinctive examples of F.P. Journe’s perpetual calendar complication, just in time for the leap year.
