60M AMELS 200 SUPERYACHT MARSA DELIVERED

The 60-metre Amels 200 superyacht Marsa has been delivered from the Damen Yachting shipyard in the Netherlands. Also known as Amels 18804, Marsa left the dock at the Vlissingen shipyard on her maiden voyage, ready for a private itinerary with her owner.

The semi-custom Limited Editions superyacht Marsa was launched from the shipyard in November 2023, where she broke records for Damen Yachting, as one of two superyachts launched on the same day.

"It was so rewarding to see the owners onboard for the christening and blessing ceremony and enjoy that their unique vision became reality," explained Tom Oomkens, Project Manager at Damen Yachting.

"The pride in their eyes made us forget all the hard work and long hours. For me, again I say this is the most beautiful yacht we've made, but I seem to say that with every delivery. These results would never have been achieved if we hadn't had a super well-oiled team and a lot of craftsmanship onboard."

Marsa features exterior design by Tim Heywood Design, while her interior was penned by UK-based Winch Design. She boasts a Whisper Grey hull, with accommodation for up to 12 guests, across a six stateroom configuration.

Delivered as the third Amels 200 yacht, she is an evolution of the Amels 188, with a unique interior design and layout making her stand out from the crowd. The owner and family of Marsa intend to work remotely and entertain friends and family, so they chose to add an additional balcony to the main deck, with exterior bars on every deck.

These innovative features are unique to this Amels 200 yacht, and complement the owner’s desire to spend extended periods at sea exploring the Mediterranean. She boasts a four-deck elevator, an air-conditioned gym on the sun deck and full-height windows in her owners suite.

"Having navigated the intricate waters of the commissioning and delivery process, I am honoured to have played a pivotal role as Relief Captain Chief Officer in the creation of Marsa," commented Carlos Miguel Narciso Marques, Chief Officer Project 188-04.

"Over the past five months, I've been deeply involved in ensuring every detail of this magnificent vessel meets the highest standards of excellence. Together with an exceptional Amels team, we've crafted not just a superyacht, but a masterpiece destined to grace the seas with unparalleled beauty and luxury."

In terms of propulsion, Marsa incorporates hybrid electrical power technology, further reinforcing her commitment to groundbreaking emissions reduction.

“We are very proud to have handed Marsa over to her owner," added Damen Yachting Commercial Director Rob Luijendijk. "We have very much enjoyed the build journey with this owner and their team, and it has been an honour to have been entrusted with turning their vision of yachting into reality."
