INTRODUCING OCEANCO’S NEW SIMPLY CUSTOM CONCEPT PROTEUS

Oceanco has uncovered the renderings of their latest trailblazing concept: The 80-metre superyacht Proteus, which is a new addition to Oceanco’s 80-metre pioneering yacht series Simply Custom.

The Monaco-based designer The A Group is responsible for this cutting edge concept, and draws from many areas of expertise, such as the fields of yacht design, construction management, and architecture.

With a team of international, forward thinking creatives who pride themselves on delivering “vision, authenticity, integrity, and determination”, The A Group expanded upon Oceanco’s idea for the Simply Custom series in order to conceptualise Proteus.

“Proteus is a timeless design base superstructure for today and tomorrow”, Oceanco remarks.

Besides providing owners with “unique longevity” and “adaptability” in the yacht itself, the Oceanco and The A Group’s project aims to avoid the convoluted and time-consuming process traditionally associated with typical custom builds or refits.

Every detail of each Simply Custom yacht, down to their hulls, has been customised to fit unique, individual purposes, so that “the client is in the driving seat, creating a yacht that is theirs and theirs alone,” Oceanco explains.

The superyacht’s Greek mythological namesake, Poseidon’s prophetic son Proteus, was said to be able to metamorphosise.

This quality certainly applies to the yacht Proteus, which reflects the “ever-changing social and environmental climate” in the collaborative, custom-built approach to her design.
