SATEMI: FOURTH AMELS 60 DELIVERED AT DAMEN YACHTING

The fourth unit in the popular Amels 60 series, named Satemi, has been delivered from the Damen Yachtingshipyard in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. The superyacht will remain quayside for a few more weeks before departing on her maiden voyage to the Caribbean for "a busy season combining charter and private use". Sisterships include Come Together and Entourage.

The Amels 60 was introduced in 2019 in a new collaboration with designer Espen Øino and has sold six hulls to date. Satemi shares a similar exterior to hull number two, Entourage, with long lines of glazing, as opposed to the trapezium-shaped windows seen on hull number one, Come Together.

Interiors are the work of Studio Indigo and Pure Living with six cabins sleeping a total of 12 guests, including a full-beam owner’s suite positioned forward on the main deck with an adjoining cabin that can be used as a VIP, children’s suite, office or gym. The remaining four guest suites can be found on the lower deck.

Other highlights include a beach club sauna, a Jacuzzi on the sundeck and a touch-and-go helipad.

One key feature of the Amels 60 is its IMO Tier III-compliant hybrid engine delivering a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles. A nine-metre tender can be stored on the foredeck for shuttling guests to and from the vessel.

"We’ve had a very strong reception to this new Amels design – largely because an owner can step into a new build, make some customisations and yet still benefit from a two-year delivery time," says Jan van Hogerwou, Damen Yachting’s US commercial executive.

According to BOATPro, there are 12 other projects currently under construction at Amels including theflagship Amels 120, seen for the first time last month, and Project Zurich, the third Amels 80.
