INTRODUCING THE MANGUSTA 165 REV: OVERMARINE'S NEW FLAGSHIP

In June 2021, Overmarine released the first renders of the new Maxi Open REV series flagship, the 50-metre Mangusta 165 REV. Designed in collaboration with renowned yacht designer Studio Lobanov Design, the yacht burst onto the scene with her streamlined design and sporty aesthetic, a refinement of the familiar Mangusta styling that is so well known in the industry.

With her elongated bow and low profile, the yacht has an aggressive look, employing the curved superstructure lines and dark tinted glazing that have been inspired by 1930s sports cars. Amidships there is a main deck terrace on either side that opens up her saloon dining area and fills the interior with light, giving her guests a true connection with the ocean around them.  The foldable terraces are integrated into the profile of the vessel when underway, and are folded out while at anchor, transforming the feel of the main deck spaces.

Like all Mangusta yachts the 165 REV has impressive interior volumes, offering owners as many as five guest staterooms for the accommodation of as many as 10 guests. A flexible interior layout however allows owners to choose between a fifth stateroom and a media room, second lounge, or even a gym – placing her among the ranks of much larger vessels.

New to the Mangusta series is the inclusion of a beach club, with aft doors sliding open onto a 36 square-metre lounge area right on the water, fully equipped with sofas, space for a dining table or for sun loungers. A side garage can discreetly store a tender and two Jet Skis.

The yacht’s low and slender profile belies the large and comfortable sun deck which spans more than 60 square-metres and is the perfect location for enjoying a private evening drink and for entertaining guests. The sun deck is home to a large lounge sofa, a bar, a sunbathing area and an infinity pool.

The superyachts interiors come from the boards of Milan-based design studio m2Atelier which has used a warm colour palette, combined with a contemporary design style that accentuates the large floor-to-ceiling windows. The main saloon features a lounge set up with an open plan dining area that comfortably accommodates her guests. The saloon also features a bar counter with stools that is illuminated by three skylights.

The main deck is also home to the expansive 92 square-metre master suite, a dual level space that features elongated side windows, a lounge area, stateroom and office. The stateroom also features a full-beam ensuite and the entire suite offers the owner unlimited privacy and exquisite sea views. The additional guest accommodation is located on the lower deck, separated from the crew quarters, and each stateroom features its own private ensuite.

Not only does the 165 REV look impressive with her sporty profile, but her performance matches her aesthetic, with a top speed of 34 knots, powered by four MTU 16V 2000 M96L, 2,600 horsepower engines and four Kamewa waterjets. Overmarine has ensured that the superyacht is the perfect vessel for life on the water with Veem gyro stabilisers and a range of 650 nautical miles.

The Mangusta 165 REV is the ideal vessel for cruising in the Caribbean or Mediterranean, taking you where you need to go in speed, comfort and style.

Hulls number one and two are currently under construction at the Overmarine Group facility. Hull two is available for sale with delivery due in Summer 2023.
